I´m Alive!! ..and chidits are too..

After changing jobs I have been learning the ropes in my new occupation. That has taken helluva lot time and effort, so painting has been in the background for few months.
I have been fiddling with brushes however, and managed to paint my chindit army to a point where it is pointwise ready for reasonably sized battles.
They actually already faced a jap force and scored their first victory against emperor Teemuhito in the jungles of Espoo!

Latest addition has been the HQ. Windgate Fergusson and Cairns are exactly the officers needed to clean the jap infestation from the jungle.

Here is the troops they have under their command at the moment. I still need to paint around 10 more infantry including few specialists, so I´m on a home stretch.
 Burmese scout Chip.
 ..and his brother Dale.
The Doc has taken some time for his busy schedule and is cleaning the muddy hedgerow cutter.
I painted the whole tank in 4 hours with weathering. it was actually quite therapeutic.
Wounded officer is keeping up the fight and morale!
With these, I experimented with all ideas I had for forest floor base. Mushrooms, roots, moss, leaves etc. etc. I intentionally left the normal static grass in smaller role as there really is not that much grass in a forest.
A palm tree from ebay got its role as a fern.
 Here as well.
This guy reminds me of captain Haddoc from Tintin.

Here is a good shot with the moss on a rock. It is Secret Weapon Miniatures´ green pigment. It is a bit unnaturally bright, but it stand out because of that pretty nicely.
Mushrooms are leftover greenstuff, its nice to get something done with it instead just throw it away.

Here is the next soldier coming up. The nozzle is a bit long for real English ack pack but I doubt no one sees the difference.
After this I need to make a sniper.
