Guildball Farmers Guild all painted up

After a very long pause in any miniature gaming, I got interested in Guild ball due to escalation league arranged in our gaming club.

First test figures of 3mm celts

 I have for some reason always wanted to try smaller scale miniatures.
To accomodate this, I went with 3mm celts from Magister Militum.
The ultimate plan is to make a travel ready wargame set to play Hail Caesar, DBM or KoW. For that I need some romans too.

Lunatic asylum to the battle!

I bought few miniatures to Pulp Alley (or other games) from statuesque miniatures.
First to get paint were inhabitants of a lunatic asylum and a Indian gentleman.

 I have a doctor, nurse and 3 male patients. I still have 3 female patients to paint.

 Very nice and stylized sculpts.

 The expressions are funny :)

 Slightly more sinister look.

 Nurse is probably not very innocent herself. The floor tiles were made with egg cutting tool (yes..).

Pulp Alley gang leaders ready

 Pulp Alley posse leaders are now painted.

It was pretty nice to paint for a while, I might do something else now that I picked the brush up.

I also did few bushes that I have been meaning to for some time. It's plastic trunks with Nochs scatter glued on.
The green grass is excess pieces that were left over from plastic trees that I'm painting and pimping up next.

I really should start painting, but 2 sculpts more..

 I felt I could make a whole posse to Pulp Alley, so I went for it.
I had international adventurer, captain Stillwater and Lluana, amazon shaman from jungle planet Zyxx.
And now Brother Malleus from Vatican's most secret order of Cestus Dei joins the team. Accompanying the brother with his mission of holy vengeance is a resurrected parishioner, Bob.

Three new sculpts

 I have again gotten a small drive to sculpt, so here are the fruits of last couple of week .
There is also a pretty clear path of advancement noticeable.

Discoveries in Sculpting ep1: "Tools and Armatures"

I have been meaning to write a tutorial type articles of the things I have discovered about sculpting miniatures.
I rather not call them tutorials as I am still very much a beginner myself, but rather list things that have worked for me, and what has improved my sculpting, so maybe someone can avoid the mistakes I made.
