Factory, Orc tents and beginning of a tavern..

 As probably can be guessed from the subject of the post, I've been mostly fiddling with terrain.
So now my alienist, mr. Horatio Stillwater is going to present them to you while investigating if the abandoned factory is in fact Chulhu free zone.

Bugbear and animal companions

 I painted few figures from Reaper that I bought.
First was a bugbear. Nice sculpting and definately a cheap model.

Onymaru mold and generic speedsculpted cultists

 I ordered Onymaru mold material about a year ago for fun from Ebay.
Now was the first time I actually tried it out.
It is a reusable molding agent that you soften in a hot water.
I made a pile of skulls with greenstuff and metal skulls I have, put a mug of water in a microwave and pressed it on.

D&D 5e First Impressions

(Disclaimer, if you are player in the campaign, this'll spoil what campaign we are playing) 
So, during a drunken babble, the topic of RPGs, and especially, the lack of such, came up with a buddy of mine.
The conclusion was, that in older people's life there was really not enough of role playing. Not if you exclude the stuff you do with your missus.. you know..

..but the "submit order" -button looked soo enticing..

 Ok, so I got a little bonus and thought to reward myself by buying crap I probably never use, and less likely ever get painted.

Chaos Bikers

Getting a bit tired painting Greeks, I started a biker unit that has been waiting for 1 year now.

 As a finishing, I splashed a bit of Tamiya´s blood paint to the asphalt.

 Nothing too fancy, just to get something done fast, so I don´t slit my wrists when I start the next batch of spartans..

 This bike had its front "chopperized" with plastic pipes.

 Bases are baked sculpey (not suprisingly).

Frostgrave Soldiers unboxing / review

So, in a heat of moment, I purchased some Frostgrave miniatures, when my mate Teemu wanted someone for combined mailorder. I have the rulebook on its way, and the previews looked cool so what could go wrong?

Like all summers before this, we rented a cottage to relax for a week.

 I suprised myself with how fast I actually paint when I try.
I have been pumping these in around 8 figures/evening which is a record speed for me.

Sculpting a Chindit

I thought I'd give a shot in sculpting a bit more realistic figure after the goblin.

So, if all goes well, my chindits will get a reinforcement 😃

 I have been itching to do a goblin to my Blood Bowl team, and I finally got around to it.

Star Wars Armada First Impressions / Review

I purchased FFG :s Star Wars Armada few weeks back. I have played it with the starter set contents couple of times with my son, but now with wave 1 arriving (at least part of it), it was time to amass a larger fleet and take the war to our club´s galaxy.
So, on stardate 230515 Mon Anwil and his rebel scum clashed with Darth Gutrot´s glorious fleet.

I´m Alive!! ..and chidits are too..

After changing jobs I have been learning the ropes in my new occupation. That has taken helluva lot time and effort, so painting has been in the background for few months.
I have been fiddling with brushes however, and managed to paint my chindit army to a point where it is pointwise ready for reasonably sized battles.
They actually already faced a jap force and scored their first victory against emperor Teemuhito in the jungles of Espoo!

Latest addition has been the HQ. Windgate Fergusson and Cairns are exactly the officers needed to clean the jap infestation from the jungle.

HC Chindit research.

I thought I'd get to know The history of my upcoming chindit army. I already knew they were english, and their commander was Orde Wingate (and that he had a funny tropical helmet). But that was not enough for HC history freak like me, so I went on and ordered some reading from ebay.

I am locking my basing scheme for the chindits. During the course of it I made up a way to make plants that look a bit more tropical than regular static grass.
